Gilbert is especially proud of the unique traditional gastronomy of Rodrigues. He is also very proud of the hospitality of his people, as it will make you feel truly at home, no matter where you are. Also, the traditional dance that originated from the time of the slaves in Rodrigues has survived history, and is today beautifully accompanied by its traditional music that tourists appreciate greatly.

He was extremely excited about the idea of working with, and learning about, new cultures again. In 2000, he had the opportunity to go from Rodrigues to Mauritius, a great learning experience where he had the chance to understand a lot of new things about Mauritian culture, and experience which he loved. This fired up his desire to continue this learning, but now on a much larger scale!

The multicultural aspect of the people in Mauritius is amazing, and something of which the teamis truly passionate about. Mauritian people are warm and welcoming. Besides the stunning beaches that tourists fancy so much, their culture is one that always curiously invites one to discover their way of living, especially with a number of different religious and cultural backgrounds.
