Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
The guest house is a member of the international organisation "SKÅL", which brings together all sectors of the travel and tourism industry.
The owner refused to serve the famous local dish of "CONOCONO shells" in order to protect and save this endangered species. Furthermore, the guesthouse educates its guests that all shells and corals are protected and appreciated in their natural environment and only to take pictures home.
Besides actively saving water, the guest house also encourages its guests to save water.
We reduce laundry by changing the bed linens and towel every three days only; hence we can save energy, water and reduce waste.
